The Movement of Fishermen and Fisherwomen Handcrafted in Brazil was the need of the fishing communities, have a representation in front of the government and that the country could unite in a single voice. The goal is to coordinate and organize the fishermen and fisherwomen to empower them of their rights to cultural identity, fishing, housing and to come and go, facing the challenges of staying in their territories and the failure of public policies.
