A Campanha Nacional pela Regularização do Território das Comunidades Tradicionais Pesqueiras está mobilizando pescadores e pescadoras do Brasil e até 2015 will raise over 1 million signatures for a bill.

The Movement of Fishermen and Fisherwomen Handcrafted in Brazil was the need of the fishing communities, have a representation in front of the government and that the country could unite in a single voice. In 2009 to defend the fishing, claim demands and forward them public bodies, born MPP. The goal is to coordinate and organize the fishermen and fisherwomen to empower them of their rights to cultural identity, fishing, housing and to come and go, facing the challenges of staying in their territories and the failure of public policies.
